Truthfully, MY way hasn’t worked so well. I spent decades as the reigning Queen of Frantic. It seemed that no matter how hard I tried I could not beat the clock. There simply wasn’t enough time in a 24 hour day to fit in all in. Anybody with me?
I found myself like King Solomon (who busied himself with many good things) in Ecclesiastes chapter 2.And perhaps I would not have dared to put it in the same vernacular, but the sentiment was similar, “So I hated my Life” (verse 17).
Oh my lament might have sounded something like this … “I can’t get it all done” … “I am tired, I am weak, I am worn.”
None the less, Solomon and I were on the same page and perhaps you have met us there as well.
After exhausting the “I did it MY way” routine, I decided to search for a better plan for Managing Time. And I found it. The Plan that is always the best, is God’s Plan.
It is really where we should always begin. Looking at the world (and at my watch) by measuring everything I do to His word has been a real game changer and a total turnaround.
Now I am free to enjoy not just a little bit of my time, but most of it, and headed towards every single second of it. Oh the freedom that is found in Managing Time God’s Way!
